Delete Google Advanced Search History


Google is a popular search engine with an "Advanced" feature allowing users to specify many aspect of a search, such as web-page, language and file types. Google also has well-known feature that predicts what users are going to type based on past searches.
This drop-down list also includes past search terms. However, there are numerous reasons for users to want to delete their search history, such as for privacy reasons. In those instances, users must clear their private data on their Internet browser.

Instructions.

Internet Explorer 7 and 8
  1. Open Internet Explorer
     
  2. Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL to open a window that allows you to delete browsing history.
     
  3. Select the desired types of data you wish to delete, such as "History."
     
  4. Click "Delete" to finish deleting the Google advanced search history.
Firefox 
  1. Open Firefox.
     
  2. Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL to open a window that allows you to delete browsing history.
     
  3. Place a check next to "Browsing History."
     
  4. Choose "Clear Private Data Now" to erase your Google advanced search history.
Chrome
  1. Open Google Chrome.
     
  2. Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL to open a window that allows you to delete browsing history.
     
  3. Choose "Clear Browsing Data" and any other options you want to delete.
     
  4. Select "Delete" then confirm the action in the following prompt.
Safari
  1. Open Safari.
     
  2. Click the "Edit" menu and choose "Reset Safari." This opens a new window where you can choose which items you want to clear.
     
  3. Choose to clear recent searches and any other items.
     
  4. Click "Reset" to finish clearing your Google advanced search browsing history.
