IE Passwords in the Address Bar

Older versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer allowed users to include log-in name and password information in the address bar. Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 and newer versions of Internet Explorer have disabled this feature. The feature was disabled due to the potential for malicious users to exploit a loophole that can trick unwitting victims into thinking that they are accessing a different website than they are actually viewing. 

If you want to change Internet Explorer's settings to allow passwords in the address bar, then you will need to enter the Windows Registry and manually change your Internet Explorer settings.
