Saving a Google Map as a BMP is fairly simple and only takes a few minutes. However, it may be unnecessary. Instructions

1 Access Google Maps and input the address (or approximate location) of the area you want to save as a BMP.

2 Click the arrow on the left side of the map display to hide the Google side panel. This will expand your view and help create a clean BMP image.

3 Enter your browser's full-screen viewing mode. Press "F11" to hide the start menu task bar and browser menu (Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer).

4 Click the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard (usually above the number pad). Open Microsoft Paint.

5 Click on "Edit" and "Paste," then click "File" and "Save As." Select "BMP" as the file type
