How to find out IE version.

With software you will always notice that new versions are being brought out and they all have new features or fixes for certain items. As well, it is good to know what version you have so you know what you are able to upgrade to or as well find out if you already have the version you are about to download. 

This article will help you to find out the version of internet explorer that you are using.

Instructions 

1. Your first step will be to open up your Internet Explorer Browser.
   
2. Next you will want to left click on the "Help" icon located at the top left of the Internet Explorer Browser.
   
3. From here a drop down box will appear and give you different items to choose from. You will want to left click on the "About Internet Explorer" option.
   
4. From here a pop up box will appear . The area you will want to look at is right after the version area. For instance it might state Version 8 or maybe Version 8.0.6001 and more. The main number is the first one which for instance would state you have Internet Explorer 8.
