View PDF Files in Chrome
Google's Chrome Web browser is a free, open-source browser for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. PDF is a standard document format that display identically across all computers and operating systems. Google Chrome doesn't include a PDF viewer, but supports Adobe's PDF plugin, like other Web browsers do. Google Chrome displays PDF files embedded in browser tabs after Adobe Reader is installed and the plugin is enabled.

Instructions
- Install the latest version of Adobe Reader for your operating system if it isn't already installed.
- Update Google Chrome to the latest version by clicking the wrench icon at the top-right corner of the "Google Chrome" window, clicking "About Google Chrome" and clicking "Update Now" if prompted for an update at the bottom of the "About Google Chrome" window.
- Open Adobe Reader by clicking "Start," "All Programs" and "Adobe Reader."
- Update Adobe Reader to the latest version by clicking "Help" and "Check for Updates" in the "Adobe Reader" window. Install any updates if prompted.
- Open Adobe Reader's preferences window by clicking "Edit" and "Preferences" in the "Adobe Reader" window.
- Click "Internet" under "Categories" at the left side of Adobe Reader's "Preferences" window.
- Click the "Display PDF in Browser" checkbox under "Web Browser Options" in the "Preferences" window if it isn't enabled, and click "OK."
- Restart Google Chrome by clicking the "X" button at the top-right corner of all its windows, then clicking "Start," "All Programs," "Google Chrome" and "Google Chrome."
- Verify PDF files are displayed in the Chrome Web browser by opening a sample PDF document.
Tips and Warnings!!
- View PDF files in Chrome without Adobe's PDF viewer by installing an official Chrome extension from Google. Note that some PDF files requiring authentication or advanced features won't display properly with this extension.
