Mozilla Firefox Bookmarks Toolbar
Bookmarks Toolbar is the bar across the top of your web browser containing clickable buttons that will execute on a single mouse click. Some of the popular toolbars are Yahoo!, MSN, and Google toolbars, to name few. When you install a toolbar, it adds a whole set of new functions and features to your web browser.
Mozilla Firefox allows you to create a button for all your favorite sites in Bookmarks Toolbar. This feature is very convenient to use because you only need a single click of a button to go to your favorite web sites without having to type on the address bar or going to Bookmarks menu.
This article will help you to create Mozilla Firefox Bookmarks Toolbar.
- First, make sure that your Bookmarks Toolbar is ON by going to View=>Toolbars=>Bookmarks Toolbar should be checked.
- Next, go to your favorite site either by typing the address on the address bar or from the Bookmarks list.
- When your page is up on your screen, you should be able to see the small icon in the address bar which represents the web site. This icon is called Favicon. Now click and drag the Favicon to the blank part of the Bookmarks Toolbar and you are done. That's how easy it is to do.
- If click and drag does not work for you, just right click on the blank portion of the Bookmarks Toolbar and choose New Bookmark... On the pop-up window, enter the name of the Bookmark and its URL or address. Keep in mind that if you choose this method, the Favicon does not display on the button immediately... instead you will see the default icon. Just use it for a while and eventually, the Favicon will appear.
- Now your favorite web sites are just a single mouse click away. If you want to delete any of the buttons, just right click on the button and choose Delete.
