Import PST Files From Outlook

When you save items from your Microsoft Outlook mailbox to your computer's hard drive, Outlook stores the data in a personal folders file (.pst). You can import personal folders files created in any previous version of Outlook--including the 2003 version--with Outlook 2007 by opening the data file and adding it to your Folder List. You can access and use the data in the personal folder file from the Folder List.

This article will help you to Import PST files from Outlook.

Instructions

  1. Open Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.

  2. Click "File" in the top menu bar, point to "Open," then click "Outlook Data File."

  3. Navigate to the computer file folder where you saved the Outlook 2003 PST file. Click the desired PST file, then click the "OK" button.

  4. Click "Go" in the top menu bar, then select "Folder List." Look for the name associated with your Outlook 2003 personal folder file in the "Folder List." Outlook names the personal folder file "Personal Folders" by default.
