Ethernet Card Installation
Simple procedure to Install Ethernet Cards on Windows XP or Windows 7. Installing an Ethernet Card in Windows PC is a fairly simple process. You may need to replace existing ethernet card because of hardware issue or just a upgrade.
- Keep etherenet card r eady and shut down the computer, unplug it from the electrical outlet, then touch the metal casing to eliminate any static charge.
- Make sure while handling the motherboard, Install the Ethernet PC card. Find an available slot, line up the notches of the new Ethernet card, and press down until you hear it snap into place.
- Restart the computer and Windows will prompt you for drivers if necessary so Install the drivers. . some timesWindows will already have the necessary drivers in its database. If prompted, insert the driver CD that came with the Ethernet card and allow Windows to install them.
